Before we say “I do,” we want to honor someone who shaped our love in quiet, everyday ways.

Before marriage, before this celebration, there was Bentley. He was Alley’s companion first, but was very involved in wanting to ask Jorge to be his dad! His role then became to be a cherished member of the family we built together. He grounded us, kept us safe, and showed us what unconditional love truly looks like.

Bentley will never be forgotten. We carry the life lessons he gave us in our hearts, now and always.

Keep an eye out for subtle nods to Bentley throughout the wedding. Find them all and enjoy a well-earned treat!

In his final act of love, Bentley was donated to the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine to support research into his disease, Degenerative Myelopathy. This disease has parallels to ALS in humans, and there is ongoing research to help both dogs and humans.
